Reduce Bed Exit Effort by 50%

According to a study conducted by Birmingham City University The number of adverse movements a patient needs to make when standing up on a standard bed is more than 50% greater when compared with a bed equipped with a lateral tilt or Mobi-Lift® handle.

The Eleganza 5 (E5) new progressive features work in conjunction for early patient mobilization and reduces patient bed exit effort by 50%. The Care goals in terms of design have been based around Quick & Safe Recovery, Reduced Physical Effort + Lower treatment costs due to shorter hospitalisation.

As seen in the below graph, The number of adverse movements a patient needs to make when standing up on a standard bed is more than 50% greater when compared with a bed equipped with a lateral tilt or Mobi-Lift® handle.  

When exiting the bed the patient has 3 big aids to put him back on his feet. Mobilization can begin soon so the patient can gain in self-confidence. This also removes the physical strain on staff.

1. Mobil Lift -  UNIQUE! The patient controls the bed height using the Mobi-Lift® handle.
2. Side Rails - Ergonomically shaped handles in the siderails.
3. Lateral Tilt -  The height setting and side tilt will assist the patient’s bed exit.
